Family Villas Holiday Guide

About Villa Holidays - Holiday Companies
Family Villa Holidays

Villa holidays are a great option for a family holiday. You have the freedom to come and go as you please and there are no set itineraries or meal times to keep to. If you have a large family or want to holiday with friends or grandparents, then you will have no problem finding something large enough to meet your needs.

Although there are no activities laid on, villa holidays offer an excellent base for an active family holiday. Hiking and biking are two of the most popular activities which you can enjoy. Just take your boots or bikes and often you will be able to walk or bike straight from your front door. Or choose a seaside location if watersports appeal.
Types of Villa Holiday

Villa holidays are available in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Florida. Destinations vary from busy, beach-fronted resorts through to off the beaten track countryside retreats. Many have their own private pool.

Age Ranges

There are no minimum ages for a villa holiday. They are a perfect option for families with children of all ages.

Choosing Your Villa
These are some things to think about before you book your villa:

Location – Which country and region do you wish to visit

> Sleeping Capacity - The maximum number of people that can be accommodated will be specified in the villa details. Read the details thoroughly to check on the number of bedrooms available and whether they are twin, double, single or bunk bedrooms. Check whether some people would be sleeping on sofa beds in the lounge if you fill the villa to capacity. If this is the case, you may wish to choose a villa that sleeps more people than you need to ensure that everyone has a proper bed.
> Other Facilities – Some villas offer facilities such as swimming pools, games rooms and play areas.
To help you to find your perfect villa, many of the holiday villa companies provide the facility to search online for villas to meet your requirements.
Equipment Provided

Villas usually have fully equipped kitchens with oven, fridge, microwave, cooking utensils, crockery etc. Most have a colour television, video recorder and radio/CD player.

Cots (often travel cots) and high chairs can often be provided and this is usually specified in the description of the villa in the brochure or on the website..
Other Items To Take With You

Household items – Towels, teatowels, washing up liquid, dishcloths, washing powder.

> Food – Enough for the first day or so as you will be able to restock once you get there. Also take basics such as teabags, coffee, sugar, etc. Some holiday companies provide a welcome pack complete with tea, coffee, milk and other basics to last you until the nearest shop opens.

Camera – To record your holiday
